Before the Euro, Dutch money was the most beautiful in the world. A new Five Euro coin, designed by
artist and architect Stani Michiels, is a worthy successor to a great
tradition.

office has decided to move to a larger office. We’ve packed up our bags
and taken up residence in the city’s Hedge End. There’s now free

clever coins
The Royal Mint has revealed the first new coin designs in 40 years, designed by a 26-year-old graphic designer from Wales. The new coin design says goodbye to Britannia and hello to the royal coat of arms, which is broken up into separate pieces for each coin and comes back together again on the £1 coin.
Here at C2 we think the new designs are a winner.
Sheffield: green & creative
Property programme To Buy Or Not To Buy revealed a couple of interesting facts about Sheffield recently.
It has the highest people-to-trees ratio in the UK, and 7% of people work in the creative industry, the largest percentage in the UK. This all makes green Sheffield the creative capital of the UK. Well done, Sheff!

Red House Museum in Christchurch, Hampshire, is showing the wonderful life of the surfing scene through the graphics, art, design and imagery from the past 300 years. 'The Art of Surfing Exhibition' runs from 19 January to 1 March 2008. We'll be popping down in our wet suits to soak up some of the alternative design culture.

If you're out and about in London between the 5th Feb and 13th Apr, here's your chance to catch a glimpse of the famous architect Jean Prouve. The Design Museum is showing a wide range of his designs and ideas, plus one of the prototypes for his 1950s colonial house will be erected outside the Tate Modern. Jean (1901-1984) was one of the foremost French architects, with remarkable elegance, style and creativity - one of C2's favourites.
